Whom can I sponsor to come to Canada?

Spouse/Common-law partner
You may be eligible to sponsor your spouse or common-law partner for Canadian permanent residency – whether they are living in Canada on a TRV or residing abroad. Am I eligible to sponsor my family members to Canada?

Who isn’t eligible to sponsor a family member to CA?
There are certain cases, where, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) may find you not eligible to apply under the Family Class Sponsorship program. You may be ineligible if you:
- are currently in prison
- have not paid child support or alimony payments
- have declared bankruptcy and are not yet release
- received social assistance for reasons other than a disability
- missed, made late payments, or failed to pay back the immigration loan
- have fail to meet the sponsorship terms for the previously sponsored family member
- have been convict of a violent crime or offense against a family member or relative
How much does Family Sponsorship costs?
If you plan on moving to CA from India with your spouse – and they have dependent children, or if you are sponsoring your dependent children, a $150 payment will be require for each child inclue in the application. If you are including the spouse or partner of your relative, an additional $1,050 is require.
